The composition and colors are fantastic. The lack of clarity and focus do detract quite a bit, if I am to be honest, however.

I enjoy good feedback, walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, and Canon DSLRs... XD
:icondannyelfmanssecret:
love honesty.
and i definitely agree.

I hope I don't come off as mean, I just saw you replied to someone who commented on content what they thought about the photo and I hate when people leave something so simple as "Love it" or "It's great!"

:icondannyelfmanssecret:
oh no! definitely not mean!
just honest.
i always enjoy reading people's critique.
it let's me know what i'm doing wrong.
if there's something that you negatively commented on that i was trying to achieve
{ex: if i wanted the colors to appear muted or faded and you said "the colors are too muted"}
i would tell you that that was the look i was going for.
i especially love when people give tips with their critique.
it allows me to sharpen my skills and play with them to give my photos their own twist.

its all a big learning process and if i ever want to go anywhere in the photo world i need to learn the basics before flourishing.

i absolutely appreciate your critique.

I'm glad you didn't see it as mean. I know there are those that just can't take critique. I can take it if either I know it's true or if they provide tips. I would have in your case but I couldn't see your EXIF data to see what was going on with your camera so there wasn't much I could say. As for the overblown areas, if you have PSP or PS, try a cuves layer to darken the highlights and midtones a bit to add more contast to those areas. Curves is my hero. That and color balance layers.

i will toy with that...
thank you.
